Story[]
Tom and his friend Turner discover an old Torchwood hub, and very soon, their lives change dramatically...
Synopsis[]
The world was apparently going to end in 2012. They were wrong. The world ended in 2113. Time Agents were sent to avert the cataclysm, and for David Banks, that means travelling to 2113, six days in advance and joining the organisation known as Torchwood. But with strange creatures hunting him down, it surely can't be long before he is killed, and can the mysterious "ghost" known as Turner be trusted?
Continuity[]
- The series is set in 2113, one hundred years from now, mainly so that future series' of Torchwood can fit into the time gap between Dead Earth and Miracle Day.
- TBA had previously appeared in a Doctor Who Serial, ________ __ ____.
- David is a Time Agent, a job given to many Doctor Who universe characters, including Captain Jack Harkness, who also worked for Torchwood.
- In Episode 1, Turner talks about eating Pizza, a food that was commonly eaten during Series 1 and 2 of the official Torchwood.
- UNIT appear from Episode 2 onwards. They first were introduced in the Doctor Who serial, The Invasion.

Production Notes[]
Planning for the series began in 2011, after the unpopular series of Torchwood: Miracle Day had aired. Pete Messum had thought it to have a good idea, but a bad execution and decided to make his own Torchwood series, although this was not confirmed until October 2012, when planning on Dead Earth began. He decided to make it an "official" Torchwood series, with new characters, a new location and a different time zone, as well as incorporating many traits of the previous Torchwood's.
Filming is to begin in January 2013, with the series being shown monthly from March.
