Space Boy Productions (often stylised as SpaceBoyProductions1) was founded by Marty McLean in August 2006
Marty McLean is an Australian film maker, actor and life-long science fiction fan. He created the group as an outlet fro his films and series' in 2006. The name was originally WhoTube - refrencing to Doctor Who and the popular, video sharing website, YouTube.
In 2008, the name changed becuase of Marty's quest to rebrand the group, and settled on 'Space Boy' becuase it was a popular nickname.
Space Boy Productions is most known for Marty's Lego Doctor Who series, based on the BBC sci fi series, Doctor Who. The sereis ran from 2008 until 2010.
Other series' and films have come from Space Boy productions since then. Such as the widely acclaimed short film - Kill the Fear, Not the Queer.
In 2011, Marty McLean joined forces with fellow friend and actor, James Darby to create a sci fi series, Defenders of Earth. The production was postponed to mid-2012 due to lack of intrest from other actors/
