Doctor Who Fan Series (also known as "NTC Pictures' Doctor Who Fan Series) is a series of fan films based on the series of Doctor Who, created by NTC Pictures that was released between 2010 and 2021, where Nathan Carter's Doctor ended his run, regenerating into Peter Adams' "The Young Doctor", in The Last Stand.
Along with the main series, 'The Northern Doctor' has also been a part of audio adventures, on Overton Audios, with his first appearance in "Transcendence: Part Three", released in April 2020. Since then, he has also had continuing audio adventures with the release of "Doctor Who: Machination", released in 2021 and many other appearances in other audios since 2021. .

Series 1 was uploaded to YouTube between August 8th and September 5th 2010.
The first episode, "The Pre-Historic Times" was a pilot for the series, with a number of details changing from the pilot to the full series. Due to these changes, the pilot is not considered as canon to the rest of the series.
Originally, the series was released in 10-minute three part videos in 2010, but to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the pilot episode, the episodes were rereleased, cut together, featuring new visual effects, alternative music and additional sound effects to the episodes. "The Unknown Descendant" also received the remastering treatment, releasing as one full special on Christmas Eve, 2022.
