Mercury 237 was the eighth story of The Doctor Who Project series. It was written by Misha Lauenstein, released April 1999, and featured the TDWP 8th Doctor.
This was also the last story of Season 27.
Plot[]
Synopsis[]
The Doctor stumbles on a plot that has far reaching consequences. Realizing for that he cannot - for the lives of him - remember what happened to Ace, the Doctor begins a search through his own past. He finds himself on planet Mercury 237 - acquisition 237 of the Mercury Mining Corporation. There the Doctor encounters a familiar pair of scientist who is still working on uncovering the secrets of Time Travel, as well as, a bunch of mercenaries whose mysterious employers are collecting derelict space ships with the sinister intention of salvaging equipment that can enable them to travel through time. The Doctor discovers a horrifying plot that could lead to the death of billions of people, but what he doesn't realize is that this is only the beginning.

- The fate of Ace is brought into question, but it isn't resolved until the Season 28 story: The Cosmic Plot of Doctor Hu.
