George Hayes first discussed the possibility of playing the Doctor with Pete Messum in October 2017, with the original intention being to incorporate his Doctor into FBC Productions' Doctor Who series in two episodes: a solo adventure set during a mysterious Time War-esque conflict, and a multi-Doctor episode. The latter story, Warriors of Seth, was the first to be filmed in December 2017 - January 2018, and dialogue referencing the solo adventure was incorporated in. Hayes was then asked to reprise his Doctor for a supporting role in Legacy of a Time Lord, before production on the solo adventure Enmity began in June 2018.

After concluding filming on Enmity in August 2018, a mini-series of adventures for the Enmity Doctor was discussed, which would cross-over with Tescelector Productions' U.N.I.T Files spin-off series. Production on three episodes began in November 2018, and concluded in May 2019, with Pete Messum and J.J. DeWitt sharing writing duties. Subtitled Exodus, the series comprised of The Man From Another Universe, The Silver Devastation and The Cult of Morbius. Production on a "second" season, subtitled Evermore, began in February 2020.

Character[]

Brash, arrogant and sarcastic, the Enmity Doctor's personality is not so different from the Sixth or Twelfth Doctor's, and was based somewhat on actor George Hayes. This Doctor has lived through the Morbius War - a horrifying conflict between the Time Lords and their former dictator Morbius - which accounts for his more abrasive personality, but his harsh exterior hides a more empathetic side.

Companions[]

In Enmity, the Doctor is helped by Time Lord agents Saeva and Caleb to defeat Morbius and his Cult. Later, in Exodus, the Doctor is joined in the TARDIS by U.N.I.T officer Oliver Turner, who departs at the end of the series.

Costume[]

The Enmity Doctor's costume was designed by actor George Hayes, as was his sonic screwdriver prop. As filming conditions during production on Exodus were much colder, Hayes adopted a longer grey coat to his usual ensemble, which otherwise remained consistent throughout. In the upcoming Doctor Who: Evermore, the costume is slightly altered, now featuring a burgundy shirt instead of a white shirt.
