This Doctor was witty and quick-thinking,but also had a serious side he showed when his companions were in danger. After regenerating, he expressed joy at being 'ginger'. The death of his companion, Gary, left him darkened and he vanished from the univerese for a period of time only encountering fellow incarnations in two adventures until he made his final stand against Davros. During this life, he fought the Ice Warriors, the Daleks and the Master.
