After the Naked Doctor was injured by the horns of a Skaldarian on the planet Orithia, he regenerated in front of thousands of people into the Boy Doctor. This caused him great embarrassment as he was no longer a nudist. He was called the Boy Doctor because he had a youthful appearance despite being nearly 17 billion years old. He once received a subspace message from the First Doctor asking him to visit the Shorts Doctor in the hospital.
