Plot[]
A nasty case of shampoo-induced mind control and a vicious murder see Scott Marshall’s Beauty Is Only… get off to a grisly start. Following this brisk opening attention turns to the Doctor and Tamara who are in search of a much-needed holiday. Instead of their chosen destination, however, the duo finds themselves on the paradise planet of Augato in the twenty-fourth century. No sooner have they arrived then a case of mistaken identity draws them into a desperate quest to unravel a series of murders plaguing the holiday world.
With the help of detectives Picca and Pudmenzky, the time travellers soon discover that an alien force is at work on Augato. The recently arrived Entense Cosmetics Inc. soon triggers their suspicions, and a cursory examination of its plant brings them into contact with the mysterious Mr Sutona.
Soon enough Sutona is revealed to be an agent of the Nestene Consciousness, back to wreck havoc with its army of Autons. In double-quick time the Doctor and Tamara are taken prisoner by Sutona, only for their overly-complacent captor to let them foil its plans once more.
