Story[]
Synopsis
The Doctor must fight to save James from the terror of Omega and his army.
Continuity[]
- Omega and his army have all appeared in Series II, III and IV, as did Ross and Rattigan.
Production[]
Filming was conducted on 30th March 2013. The episode was originally one part long, therefore making this half of the series four episodes long but Messum extended it to make the full series thirteen episodes (in total). Due to production difficulties, the Ahkte did not appear on screen, despite being planned as one of the main enemies. The Cybermen's role was reduced as well, simply because of the large role they played during Relative Dimensions . Editing on the first part was completed on the 4th April 2013. Edits on the second part are still continuing. The decision for James' exit to be perminant was a joint-decision between Pete Messum or Joe Sheehan. Although they have stated the character may come back in a cameo role, or descendants or ancestors will play small roles. Sheehan was confirmed to guest-star in Episode 9, but as James' ancenstor John Mason, and not as James. The character will be a one-off. Rattigan and Ross made a return, but no date was given as Ross had previously been killed in Ghost House.
